This movie is a sequel from the previous one, titled the same – Step Up, without numbers of course. Still like the first one, the story is about a dance survival. I mean, it’s about how to prove something for people that doesn’t even know what someone else struggle for is existed.
I may never saw the prequel – Step Up, but I was encouraged to watch this movie – Step Up 2, because of the good and interesting the trailer it was. And so, I’m encouraged to watch this movie because of a good recommend of a friend. Hell yeah, he borrowed me the DVD.
It was all about a girl. A girl who’s trying to prove that she know what she was doing. What she was struggling for. For whom and what she’s trying to deal with. Her life, and dreams. For the things that she always wanted to be.
This movie started with a scene on the subway. How some young people get danced and improvised. Good and great scene of course, but it’s disturbing though. It just doesn’t make any sense how a subway could be a place for an act. I called it an act because it was a movie, right? But, maybe that’s exactly what does the director wanted to show nor share.
Overall, this movie has a good moral. It taught how a team work is needed to get something good. It taught how a dreams could driven people to do beyond their abilities. It taught how – sometimes, dreams aren’t unreachable. Dreams just there, waiting for us to try whatever it takes to get it. It taught us to brave to break the rule – but in positive meaning of course.
Some people said that, after watched this movie, they just wanted to step up, to dance, to get their interest and feels it. Those people are they who got a bright ways to do something. Great! It reminds me on myself about two years ago – but this story will be posted on another occasion.
For the conclusion, Step Up 2 – The Streets: INTERESTING!
